Salt reduction remains a key challenge for many in the food industry. Join our team of salt reduction and policy experts on Wednesday, October 15th to discuss where current efforts can be improved, and what the future holds.

Salt reduction remains a key public health priority globally, and is seen as an area of importance for many within the food industry – with many in the UK and Europe proudly stating that they have successfully brought down salt in products to meet targets. Despite huge success stories from salt reduction efforts in some regions, public health experts and campaigners still suggest that much more needs to be done to bring down intakes. Where do we go from here?

Indeed, there are some that suggest that even the most successful reduction policies have not done enough, and even more who ask where and how any successes can be translated in to policies in other regions.

In this free-to-attend roundtable debate, FoodNavigator will ask experts in salt reduction and public health policy to discuss their thoughts on the current road map to salt reduction, asking where we are now, and where we can go from here.

Join us as we ask our panel of global experts some of the burning questions, including:

  • What is the evidence for the need to reduce salt, and how far have we come?
  • How has the industry managed to reduce salt in certain areas, and what are the main challenges in reducing salt even further?
  • Can salt reuction efforts be rolled out to even more areas with ease?
  • Are targets set out by authorities including WHO realistic and achievable?

WHO IS ON THE PANEL?

FoodNavigator brings together four experts from a variety of scientific and technical backgrounds to debate the subject on October 15:
