The industry association has turned the spotlight on new entrants into the job market, as many young people are unaware of the sheer breadth and scope of job opportunities in food and drink. Many associate it only with production jobs.
The new funding comes from Skills Development Scotland, and will contribute towards developing new promotional materials around industry issues, including food and health and sustainability.
The new funding comes in addition to £180,000 provided by Scottish Government in February this year. Part of this money has been used to appoint a new national coordinator for the programme, Moira Stalker, who takes up her new role on Monday 10 May.
